I have
seen with pain and shame, in my country, the volcano of evil rage-primed in its
perverse angry outburst, disguised as a pseudo-legal, pseudo-legal,
pseudo-religious discourse, charging and annihilating the childhood of a girl
in Tucumán. The pestilence of discriminatory hatred seems to have intoxicated
the medical vocation of the members of the Hospital. What happened to the
colleagues? Did they forget that spaces like the Public Hospital are not areas
where they can afford to display dark impulses rooted in dangerous
fanaticisms? They forgot that they owe an explanation to justice, to society as
a whole, to the world, where the cultural backwardness of Argentina already
circulates (See NYTimes of March 1, 2019). How, when did they forget theeir duties?
Omission, negligence, reckless abandon ... Was it fear? Was it an extortion?
Was it ignorance or defiance of the law? What was the breaking point, the
moment when the whole vocation to heal and repair the damage changed into that
atrocious indifference? Because there was carving there a woman able to measure
wisely between her declared objection of conscience and the risks to which the
girl was exposed, because there was the sense of respect for the law and the
girl, is that surgery became subjectivating.Meanwhile, spooky and sinister, the
illegitimate and illegal formats of coldness, the abuse of power, the tanatic
force of desubjective lack of action are incarnated in those who are already
powerless, already out of time, already agonizing, in a ferocious macho culture
entrenched in the bosom of Tucumán power this time.Meanwhile, women are taking
the word, we are sowing tenderness, we are taking care of the outbreaks of
life, sweetly embracing all our men, installing the necessary calm.
